The Guides

Montana Trout Stalkers is both a guide service and a booking agent for other outfitters and guides who work for us as Independent Contractors.  It is a very close-knit community of both male and female guides we work with regularly. All of them are friendly, courteous, and professional PREDATORS!

Joe Dilschneider - The owner/outfitter of Montana Trout Stalkers.  Began guiding after graduating from the University of Colorado in 1992.  In the spring of 1995, moved to Ennis Montana (Trout Mecca) and started own outfitting business.

"Jumpa" Joey Irons - All the ingredients of a great fishing guide: knowledge, patience, skill, and an infectious enthusiasm for the sport. Whether you are a beginner, expert, or somewhere in between, Joey will work hard to put you on the fish and show you a good time on the river.

Mike Lum - "The only true expert in Fly Fishing for Trout, is the Trout!" Mike Lum however is the possible exception. He is literally a walking encyclopedia on all things pertaining to Trout fishing. In addition, he is also an excellent guide and instructor. When he's not guiding or hunting Mike can be found managing one of  the world's finest fly shops, the Madison River Fishing Company in Ennis, Montana.

Charlie Graham - Charlie brings extensive fly fishing knowledge and experience and a great deal of enthusiasm for our sport to the Trout Stalkers team. He will work hard to put you into the fish he loves so much.

Chris Knott - If enthusiasm is contagious, you'll catch a bad case of it from this guy. You'll probably also catch a bunch of Trout too! There are few guides out there who can row a boat up the Madison, but Chris is one of them.

Anni Shores -  She is an excellent Fly Fisher, Oarsman, and instructor. She works well with everyone, and knows how to catch the BIG ones. Evidence shown below.

John Seaman - After more than 20 years of guiding on the Madison, it is safe to say that John knows how to catch fish....BIG FISH! In addition to being a very good guide, John is a very interesting and knowledgeable character who will keep you entertained and engaged while you pursue your quarry.

Eric Shores - Eric is a 20-year veteran Fly Fishing Outfitter/Guide. He is also part Trout. There are few people on this planet with a knack for finding and catching BIG Trout like Eric Shores. He is one of Montana's best, and most fun fishing guides.

Chris Eaton - There probably isn't a guide out there who will work harder to make sure you have an enjoyable and productive guided fishing experience. Chris is a tireless guide and instructor who works well with everyone. Another one of the many hats he wears is that of manager of our lodge affiliate Madison Valley Ranch.
